Thermory AS
Automated 1.0 Thermo Modification Plant
Customer: Thermory AS (old HaServ)
Location: Estonia
Construction period: 2010–2012
Annual capacity: 9,600 m³
Plant category: 1.0 Thermo Modification
The Challenge
Thermory AS required an efficient and scalable thermo modification facility capable of delivering consistent product quality while ensuring reliable and automated production.
The objective was to establish a modern production facility with a high degree of automation, full production traceability and the flexibility to increase capacity as demand for thermally modified wood developed.
The Solution
WTT designed, delivered, installed and commissioned an automated 1.0 Thermo Modification plant with a simple and efficient transport system, tailored to Thermory’s production requirements.
The facility was designed in accordance with applicable directives and standards and incorporates a high degree of automation, providing full traceability of every production batch.
An integrated WTT SCADA system provides operators with complete monitoring and control of the thermo modification process, as well as production data and reporting.
The facility was subsequently expanded in two stages:
Initial plant commissioned in 20010
Expanded to two autoclaves in 2011
Expanded to a total of four autoclaves in 2012
Following these expansions, the facility reached an annual production capacity of approximately 9,600 m³ of thermally modified wood.

The Benefits
With this installation and the subsequent expansions, Thermory AS achieved:
A thermo modification facility with an annual capacity of 9,600 m³
Four autoclaves integrated into one production facility
A simple and efficient transport system
Full production traceability through advanced automation
Consistent and controlled thermo modification processes
Integrated SCADA monitoring, control and production reporting
The Result
Thermory AS established a highly automated and scalable thermo modification facility, combining production capacity, process control and full traceability.
The rapid expansion from the original installation in 2010 to four autoclaves by 2012 demonstrates the scalability of the WTT plant concept and enabled Thermory to increase its production capacity in line with growing demand.
With a total annual capacity of 9,600 m³, the facility provides Thermory with a reliable platform for the efficient production of high-quality thermally modified wood.
