The Challenge
North American Tie & Timber needed a modern impregnation facility for the treatment of railway ties with creosote. The goal was to create a plant that could ensure high-capacity processing, full traceability, and reliable automation while supporting multiple impregnation methods.
The Solution
We delivered an automated impregnation plant designed for creosote treatment of railway ties, tailored to the company’s operational requirements.
The plant was built in accordance with applicable standards and directives and provides complete traceability of all production runs. It supports a wide range of processes, including Rüping, Lowry, Double-Rüping, Bethell, and Boulton.
The installation is managed by an advanced SCADA monitoring and control system, which ensures complete oversight, reporting, and operational safety. The transport system was produced locally in the US to fit seamlessly into the plant’s workflow.
